About
This course provides a comprehensive foundation for establishing and modifying child support in Georgia. Participants will learn the purpose and structure of Georgia's Child Support Guidelines, general calculation principles, attorney's fees, and how to properly draft the Child Support Addendum required in every child support order. The course then focuses on Modification of Child Support, including the legal standard for modification, what constitutes a substantial change in circumstances, initiating a modification action, modifying foreign child support orders, and drafting a Petition for Modification of Child Support and Answer and Counterclaim for Modification. We will also discuss burden of proof, procedural requirements, strategic considerations, and attorney's fees. By the end of the class, participants will understand how to establish child support, prepare the required Addendum, and confidently pursue or defend a child support modification action. Digital, editable versions of all forms used in this Class are included with your registration — actionable templates your team can implement immediately to streamline drafting, reduce errors, and reinforce what they’ve learned. ________________________ Want to take it a step further?
