The Family Law Solutions Professional Endorsement Program is designed for legal professionals who want more than individual training classes.

The program combines practical Georgia family law education with hands-on application so participants develop the knowledge, drafting skills, financial skills, and case-management abilities needed to contribute meaningfully to a family law practice.

Whether you are preparing to enter the field, building on your current experience, or working toward more advanced responsibilities, you can progress through the program at the pace that works for you.

Move as Quickly or as Gradually as You Want.

There is no single timeline for completing the Professional Endorsement Program.

Some participants want to move through the required classes quickly and begin working toward their Professional Endorsement as soon as possible.

Others are balancing a full-time job, family obligations, or financial considerations and prefer to complete classes gradually.

Both are completely fine.

You can complete several classes in a week, take one class at a time, or spread the program over a longer period.

You control the pace.

The important part is not how quickly you finish.

It is that you develop the knowledge and practical skills required to earn the credential.

Best for participants who want to move gradually or complete only a few required courses at a time.

Best for participants who want to complete one Professional Endorsement level at a time.

Purchase all of the required training for Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 together at a discounted package rate. This option gives you a clear path through the requirements for that level without purchasing each class separately, while still allowing you to complete the training at your own pace.

Monthly Training Library Access

Best for participants who want to move through the program more quickly.

Monthly access allows you to complete multiple Training Library classes during the month rather than purchasing each class separately.

Annual Training Library Access

Best for participants who want maximum flexibility over the course of a year at a discounted rate.

Yearly access allows you plenty of time to complete your required training and work through the practical requirements at your own pace.

There is no requirement that you complete the program using one particular payment option.

You may also change how you purchase training as you progress through the program.

Endorsement Is Earned, Not Simply Attended

Completing the required classes is only part of earning

a Family Law Solutions Professional Endorsement.

The program is designed to demonstrate that you can do more than complete training and understand the material. You must also show that you can apply what you have learned, produce quality work product, and recognize what needs to happen next.

Before endorsement is awarded, participants must successfully complete the practical application requirements of the program.

10 Practical Assignments

After completing the required training, participants complete 10 hands-on assignments based on a simulated Georgia family law case:

Draft a Petition for Divorce (Level 1)
Draft an Answer and Counterclaim (Level 1)
Draft a Parenting Plan (Level 1)
Prepare a Domestic Relations Financial Affidavit (Level 2)
Prepare a Marital Balance Sheet (Level 2)
Prepare a Child Support Worksheet (Level 2)
Draft a Child Support Addendum (Level 2)
Draft Discovery Requests (Level 2)
Draft Discovery Responses (Level 2)
Draft a Settlement Agreement & Supporting Marital Balance Sheet (Level 3)

These are not generic quizzes or exercises. Participants are given case facts, financial information, client information, and practical instructions and are asked to prepare the type of work product they would be expected to produce in an actual family law practice.

Each Level Builds on the One Before It

The Professional Endorsement Program is cumulative.

Participants pursuing Level 1 must complete the Level 1 training, practical assignments, and applicable assessment requirements.

Participants pursuing Level 2 must successfully complete all Level 1 requirements plus the additional Level 2 training, assignments, and assessment requirements.

Participants pursuing Level 3 must successfully complete all Level 1 and Level 2 requirements plus the additional Level 3 training, assignments, and assessment requirements.

Each endorsement level reflects not only the skills developed at that level, but successful completion of the foundation built in the levels before it.

Personal Review & Feedback

Every assignment is personally reviewed with you by Shanna Pothier.

The purpose is not simply to determine whether an assignment is right or wrong. We review the work together so you understand what was done well, what should be corrected or improved, why those changes matter, and what would be expected of the work product in an actual family law firm.

You then have the opportunity to refine your work so that you leave the program understanding not only what to prepare, but how to prepare it properly.

Build a Portfolio While You Build Your Skills

The practical assignments serve another important purpose.

As you complete and refine your work, you are also developing a portfolio of family law work product that can help demonstrate your skills to prospective employers.

For someone entering family law without years of prior experience, it can be difficult to show an employer what you are capable of doing.

Instead of simply saying:

“I completed family law training.”

you can also demonstrate:

“Here is the type of work I have learned to prepare.”

The Case Workflow & Next-Step Assessment

Preparing good work product is only part of working effectively in a family law practice.

You also need to understand what happens before and after that work is completed.

The Case Workflow & Next-Step Assessment evaluates whether you can recognize the next steps when common events occur throughout a family law case, including what should be done, what should be calendared, what follow-up is required, what communication should occur, and when attorney attention is needed.

The Goal Is Practical Competency

A Family Law Solutions Professional Endorsement is not awarded simply because someone completed a certain number of training hours.

The program requires participants to demonstrate that they can:

Understand the process.
Prepare the work.
Accept and apply professional feedback.
Recognize what happens next.

Only after the required training, practical assignments, individual review, and Case Workflow & Next-Step Assessment have been successfully completed is the applicable Professional Endorsement awarded.

The goal is not simply to know the answer.
The goal is to know how to do the work.

Throughout the practical assignments, participants are expected to use professional work habits, including timekeeping, file naming, attention to detail, organization, and quality control.

Because success in a family law firm depends on more than knowing what document to prepare.

It also depends on knowing how to work like a legal professional.

Earning the Professional Endorsement is only part of preparing for the next step in your career.

Participants also receive career-development support designed to help translate their training and practical experience into a stronger job search.

Career Launch Support includes guidance on presenting your Professional Endorsement, training, and practical assignment portfolio on your resume, along with resume feedback and general job-search guidance for pursuing opportunities in family law.

For participants entering the field without extensive family law experience, the goal is to help prospective employers see not only the classes you completed, but the skills you developed and the work you learned to perform.

Additional individualized career coaching, resume development, interview preparation, and candidate-placement services may be available separately.

Included with Professional Endorsement: one resume review with feedback; guidance on how to present the FLS Professional Endorsement, training, and portfolio; suggestions for describing family law skills despite limited experience; general job-search strategy; guidance on where to look for family law positions; and one review of a revised resume.
