  • 2 Weeks

About

This course teaches participants how to prepare a family law case for trial from the earliest stages of litigation. As the first course in our three-part Trial Preparation series, this class focuses on developing a strategic trial plan, evaluating whether a case should be tried before a judge or jury, and preparing the evidence necessary to prove each claim. Participants will learn how to identify evidentiary gaps, conduct trial-focused discovery, utilize Requests for Supplementation and Notices to Produce, evaluate expert witnesses, manage Scheduling Orders, and develop a practical trial preparation timeline. The course also covers building effective witness lists, interviewing witnesses, preparing witness summaries and proof charts, and organizing evidence into a comprehensive trial plan. Participants will receive practical templates, including a Sample Jury Demand, Scheduling Order, Witness Chart, Proof Chart, Request for Supplementation, Notice to Produce, Witness Worksheet, and Witness Interview Guide. Digital, editable versions of all forms used in this Class are included with your registration — actionable templates your team can implement immediately to streamline drafting, reduce errors, and reinforce what they’ve learned. ________________________ Want to take it a step further?
