About the Event

Non-Standard Service — Serving Parties Outside Georgia & When Service Becomes Complicated

Not every case begins with a simple hand-delivery of papers. When a party lives in another state, cannot be located, or must be served by alternative means, Georgia law allows non-standard service—but only if done correctly. This class teaches you how to navigate service outside Georgia, service by publication, and service in UCCJEA and foreign order cases.

You’ll learn how to:

Service Outside of Georgia & Non-Residents

  • Determine when Georgia has personal jurisdiction over a non-resident

  • Draft a Motion for Personal Service Outside Georgia
