Once a trial is scheduled, every decision you make can significantly impact the outcome of the case. The period between receiving the Trial Notice and walking into the courtroom is where successful trial preparation truly begins. This course provides a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to preparing a family law case for trial by organizing the evidence, preparing witnesses, updating critical documents, and ensuring nothing is overlooked before trial.
Participants will learn how to review the case one final time, update all required trial documents, evaluate whether additional discovery or supplementation is necessary, and prepare witnesses for effective testimony. The course also covers identifying and organizing trial exhibits, evaluating admissibility, preparing subpoenas for witnesses and evidence, obtaining Affidavits of Authenticity, and building a complete trial notebook that serves as the foundation for trial presentation.
